The eternal God - His character and His reign.

v1-2: The Lord reigns; clothed with majesty, and girded with strength.

Although the world is established, only God Himself is "from everlasting" (Ps 90.2); only the Lord God has no beginning.

v3-4: The Lord God is mightier than anything we can imagine or experience on the earth, even the greatest and most powerful of natural events, Ps 29.3-4.

v5: Holiness is central to God's character, and must be central to our response to Him.
